Public Health Communications Intern

The Policy Center for Maternal Mental Health is currently seeking a Public Health Communications intern. Our internship program is designed to empower graduate students who are eager to make a lasting impact in the field of public health policy. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on significant policy, research, and field catalyzing projects that will set you up for success in future leadership positions.This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the public health sector, with a focus on blog writing, report analysis, report contribution, and public health marketing and social media. Key Responsibilities:
Report Analysis & Blog Writing:
- Review and analyze public health reports, research findings, and data.
- Summarize key insights and trends from these reports.
- Identify opportunities for our organization to contribute to ongoing discussions.
- Research and write informative, engaging, and evidence-based blog posts.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Report Contribution:
- Assist in the development of comprehensive public health reports, issue briefs, and research projects.
- Gather and organize data and information for report content.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality and data-driven reports.
Public Health Marketing and Social Media:
- Support the planning and execution of marketing and social media campaigns related to public health initiatives.
- Create engaging content for social media platforms.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of our social media efforts and provide insights for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Public Health, Health Sciences, or a related field.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of public health concepts, policy and current health issues.
- Proficiency in using social media platforms for public health advocacy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
