What: Briefing on the 2026 Maternal Mental Health State Report Cards 

Who:  Hosted by Policy Center for Maternal Mental Health in partnership with The Harris Poll and The George Washington Milken School of Public Health

When: At the close of Maternal Mental Health Awareness Month, Wednesday, May 17, 1-2pm ET

Why: The 2026 Maternal Mental Health State Report Cards grade states on their efforts to address maternal mental health. The briefing will describe the measures and changes in state grades. 

While the U.S. improved slightly overall to a C grade, no states earned an A, most states earned Cs. 

The U.S. received the equivalent of an F in the new Parental Support category, highlighting major shortcomings in providing paid leave and affordable, accessible childcare.
