Kathryn Santoro, MA

Kathryn has more than two decades of experience advancing health through strategic partnerships and policy leadership. In her role, she cultivates collaborations and funder relationships to drive organizational initiatives and provides policy analysis that informs federal and state decision-making and drives systemic change.

Previously, Kathryn partnered closely with Blue Cross Blue Shield plan and foundation executives, most recently as Senior Director of Programming at the National Institute for Health Care Management (NIHCM) Foundation. In that role, she led initiatives to improve maternal and child health, advance health care affordability, and address other key health plan priorities. She also authored the first issue brief on maternal mental health, helping to elevate the issue nationally.

Kathryn earned a master’s degree in Public Policy from The George Washington University, with a specialization in women’s health policy, and a bachelor’s degree in political science and women’s studies from Villanova University.
