Zakariya Gordon
Zakariya Gordon is a proud graduate of Spelman College, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry graduating Magna Cum Laude. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Public Health with a concentration in Mother, Youth, and Child Health at George Washington University. Zakariya has contributed to several research initiatives focused on better understanding disease pathogenesis, and she has worked on initiatives focused on equitable access for underserved communities. Zakariya is deeply committed to advancing health equity by bridging the gap between science, policy, and community engagement. Outside of her community engagement, Zakariya enjoys reading, going to movies, and spending time with friends and family.
